Phoenix Flying Club maintains a membership waitlist to help ensure a fair and transparent application process as openings become available. Prospective members are generally considered in the order their applications are received, subject to completion of all required documents and Board review.

FAQ

How much does membership cost?

The buy-in is about $7000 as of July 20206. This number increases slightly as members contribute monthly to the paint fund. This contribution is part of the $150 monthly dues. Members are required to pay in full the current vestment amount within 30 days of acceptance. Some or all of the vestment amount can be paid via check, bank transfer, or credit card. There is a 3% transaction fee applied when paying by credit card.

Monthly dues currently are set at $150 per member (as of July 2026), paid on the 1st of each month. This fixed monthly amount accounts for the fixed operatings costs (approx $120 to $135) based on current number of members, while the remaining amout is deposited into an asset improvement fund (paint). The contribution into the paint fund automatically becomes part of your vestment amount.

How long will my application take?

Once the application and supporting documents have been received it will be presented to the board members for vote on acceptance. This process typically takes 3-5 days.
